UMJ International KKN Closed with Haru

 Program (KKN UMJ) in Thailand was officially closed at  with a series of activities held from Friday to Monday (1-4/09/2023). This activity aims to strengthen the brotherhood of school teachers, students and supervisors from UMJ who have been running the KKN program together for approximately one month.

This series of closing activities was emotional. There were even school students and supervising teachers who got sick because UMJ students were going to leave them home. Cooperation and friendship have indeed been established well. The International KKN alumni also hope to be able to return to Thailand in the future according to their respective competencies and expertise.

This program, which involves 12 students from various UMJ faculties, provides International Community Service in the form of teaching activities at UMJ partner schools in Thailand. The Chair of IISN (Integrated Islamic School Networking), Ustadz Zaki, expressed a positive impression and said that this KKN was even more special because teachers and students welcomed the KKN participants with pleasure.

Ustadz Zaki also hopes that in the next KKN program there will be students with a background in English Teacher Education so they can continue their service as teachers in Islamic schools in Thailand after graduating from undergraduate level.

Not to forget, Zaki expressed his gratitude to UMJ and all students participating in International KKN who have served to help develop education in Thai schools.

Chairman of  , expressed her gratitude to the school where KKN was held and the supervising teachers who had guided UMJ students to implement knowledge in various fields of activity inside and outside school as a form of community service. Students are also invited to get to know Thai culture and visit Prince of Songkla University to open their minds to internationalization and further studies.

This closing activity was enlivened by performances by Sangkhom Islam Wittaya School students, from showing off their skills using an abacus counter to singing the regional song "Soleram".
