PKKMB UMJ First Day Presented Hidayat Nur Wahid and Airin Diany

 Deputy Chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia (MPR RI),  emphasized that there was an important role for Muhammadiyah figures in the history of the formulation of Pancasila. He conveyed this when speaking at the  , Monday (18/09/2023) in the KH Hall. A. Hidayat explained the role of several Islamic figures, including Muhammadiyah, in changing the sentence of the first principle of Pancasila to read Belief in One Almighty God. Apart from that, according to Hidayat, the other four precepts are also inspired by verses from the Koran, because the diction used is an absorption of words from the Koran.

Seeing the importance of this role, Hidayat assessed that Muslims have always given the meaning of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika to Indonesia.

PKKMB UMJ takes place on 18-22 September 2023 and carries the theme "Building Critical Reasoning, Creating a Progressive Generation". Many important figures attended this event.

Apart from Hidayat Nur Wahid,  Mayor of South Tangerang 2011-2021, who delivered material on "Human Character and Mental Health."

In her presentation, Airin said that human values ​​are really needed in the era of information flooding driven by technological progress. The values ​​in question are fairness, mutual respect, loving others and helping each other, as well as recognizing equal rights.

Apart from human values, an important thing that today's young people as the future generation need to understand is mental health. Airin said that mental health conditions can be maintained with various positive activities, including social activities and exercise.

In closing, Airin also gave a message to new students to be able to face college life, whose conditions are very different from high school. "If you want to graduate on time, you can achieve this by studying," he said.

In this activity, thousands of new UMJ students were also introduced to university-level student organizations, namely the Student Executive Board (BEM) and the Student Representative Council (DPM). Apart from that, the event was enlivened by a solo comedy performance or stand up comedy from comedian Fico Fachriza, 2nd place winner in the Stand Up ComedyIndonesia Season 3 audition.
