The Power of Faith and Taqwa for the Hereafter
Faith and piety are the keys to achieving success in the afterlife. But sometimes people forget, and think that just having faith is enough. In fact, devotion is also needed to strengthen faith.
This quote was conveyed by the Deputy Chancellor IV (UMJ), Dr. Septa Candra, SH, MH, in a study organized by (LPP-AIK), at the At-Taqwa Mosque UMJ, Friday (08/09/2023). Examining surah Al-Fath verses 27 to 29, Septa highlighted faith which is the meaning of the surah.
"Faith is the main provision, because in the Koran there are two calls from Allah SWT. to his people, namely yā ayyuhannās and yā ayyuhalladzīna āmanū. "Humans can be called human servants and also be called special names," said Septa.
Furthermore, Septa said that believing alone is not enough to obtain the pleasures of the afterlife. Taqwa is also needed so that the two become a combination for success in this world and the hereafter. As promised by Allah SWT. that there will be blessings for someone who always has faith and piety. This also includes a people, explained Septa, that Allah swt. will give blessings to UMJ which always prioritizes faith and piety, one of which is through studies organized by LPP-AIK.
Surah Al-Fath verses 27 to 29 explain that humans must have principles in recognizing the truth taught by Rasulullah SAW. Head of the LPP-AIK UMJ Islamic campus implementation sector, Dr. Adi Mansah, M.Ag., explained that one way is to take a firm stance on things that are prohibited by religion. Apart from that, humans are also obliged to have compassion for fellow people. Likewise, treat others as you treat yourself.
